Directions Alert

So we went out to the wedding spot yesterday and discovered Exit 64 is closed! So here are some new directions:
From Portland and Airport,
Take I-84 East approximately 1 hour. Get off at Exit 62 US-30 W 'Hood River/ Westcliff Drive'
Turn Right onto US-30
Turn Left to stay on US-30, and again, follow signs and turn left to stay on US-30
Continue onto Hood River Bridge, this is a toll bridge, cars are 75 cents.
Turn left after bridge. Go approximately 1.5 miles and take the 3rd right onto Cook Underwood Road
Go 4.7 miles and turn right on Ausplund Rd
Go .7 mile and turn left into “Gorge Crest Vineyards.” There is a large rock sign at the bottom of the driveway.

If you use a GPS it will take you a different way, they have asked guests to use this way as they have an agreement with their neighbors.

Please print or copy these directions so you have them. If you are having trouble, call Emee at for direction help.

Please give yourself enough time. It took us almost 2 hrs to get there with the construction change. If you arrive early there will be refreshments and you can enjoy the grounds with horseshoes and hammocks.

So excited to see you all there!

About Us

We are so excited to have you all join us for a celebration of our commitment and love for each other. It is wonderful to know that people from throughout our lives will be traveling from throughout the country to share this with us.

About the Bride and Groom
Nina and Johnny have a lot in common. They...
both moved to Portland, OR to attend Lewis and Clark 9 years ago
both work as ABA therapists for children and young adults on the autism spectrum
both grew up Lutheran
both are vegetarians who occasionally plunder the seas for their bounty
both drive a Prius
both studied French

Nina's family lives in Kalamazoo, MI
Johnny's family lives in Louisville, CO

How we met
Both being psychology majors on the small Lewis and Clark campus, we ran into each other often. When our two good friends and roommates started dating, we spent a lot of time together and discovered we had even more in common.  After being close friends for awhile we couldn't help falling in love and it has been growing ever stronger in the 7 years since.

Our Proposal
Last summer we went camping on Mt. Hood at Little Crater Lake. Johnny had hidden some flowers in the car and a surprised Nina said 'yes!' That night we went star gazing by the one of the lakes and felt we had seen more stars than ever before.

Ceremony and Reception

Mt. Hood view from the vineyards

We have chosen a beautiful site in the Columbia River Gorge to have the ceremony and the reception. It is a very private and secluded area on Gorge Crest Vineyards (GorgeCrest.com).  It is about an hour and a half from the Portland area and we have various options to help guests with transportation.

We are hoping that everyone who can, stay in Hood River with us. We have reserved hotel room blocks for a special price that night at both the Hood River Hotel (HoodRiverHotel.com) and the Hood River Inn (HoodRiverInn.com). The bride and groom will be staying in the Hood River Inn.

Directions and Information

For those of you who need transportation from Portland, we are arranging for a shuttle to Hood River the day of the event. The shuttle will also be returning to Portland and stopping at the airport Monday for those of you who need to catch a flight.

Everyone staying in Hood River will also have shuttle service to and from the event so you can leave your car and luggage at the hotel for the evening and relax and enjoy!

The Double Decker bus will pick up guests at 1pm at the Convention Center in Portland. It will take guests to the Hood River Inn where you will be able to drop off your bags and pre-check in. Note, check in time is not until 4pm which is when the ceremony begins. We have arranged for your bags to be placed in your room so everything will be ready when you return at the end of the evening.

Please board the bus ready to celebrate as you will not be able to get ready in the hotel.

The shuttle will then take guests to the wedding site just in time for the celebrations to begin!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Nina or Johnny.

We have created a registry at Target and also Honeyfund, which is for honeymoon items.
